There was a waitlist but we were sat in about 15min, and served our food in about 20min. Food was good, chicken and waffles were crispy on the outside and soft in the inside and the chicken is well seasoned. The spam omelet was simple but prefect for a hangover. Service was great, our waitlist was bright and kind. We return every time we’re in Oahu.

Café Kaila is one of those spots you find and immediately know you’ll be coming back. Everything felt fresh, homemade, and real. The place has a really relaxed, local vibe. No pressure, no fuss. Just good service, good coffee, and even better breakfast. If you’re in Honolulu you must try.

We visited and ate here back in September and had a pleasant surprise. We ate brunch around 11am, there was a sign in table outside of the door and a 10-15 minute wait to get inside. The service was spectacular and the food was even better. The avocado toast was the best I have ever tasted. Everything we tried was just SO flavorful. If you’re ever in the area this is the place to go!

Ahh one of our go to spots for breakfast when we’re back on Oahu. I can’t get enough of their meat loaf loco moco. Such a hearty meal. The meat loaf is made the old fashioned way with bread crumbs. The service staff are very friendly and the food is served fairly quick. Not too long of a wait, but a very popular restaurant with limited seating. Get here early.

Lunch meet up with friends. Great selections and many healthy options, as well as breakfast menu items are available all day. Five of us dined for $100. I had the paniolo steak sandwich, it was fantastic. My husband had the Kaila Salad and daughter had the breakfast bagel sandwich. Service was excellent, our server was attentive but not over bearing. Food came out quick and everyone enjoyed their choices.

ICONIC breakfast spot omg, YES. Café Kaila is the breakfast/brunch spot that never misses. I built my own omelet with gluten-free bread. No crumbs remained. Their homemade salsa? Addicting. My friend always gets the spinach breakfast wrap and swears by it. Heads up that there’s usually a wait because it’s so popular, but the line moves quick and it’s 100% worth it.

Every time we stay on Oahu, we make it a point to go there for breakfast. But this year, we were able to walk right in—no lines at all! Usually, it’s packed and people are waiting outside, but during our whole trip, it never even filled up. I’m not a fan of waiting in line, so this was such a nice surprise.

This is a popular place for breakfast, though it does have a good selection of lunches such as paninis, pastas and plate lunches. We opted for its ham & havarti cheese panini with chicken wild rice soup and pesto chicken panini. Both came with potato chips. Both sandwiches were well made and tasted good. The soup was tasty, but way too salty. The service was friendly and there were a lot of seats here. It felt like Sponge Bob was in the kitchen when I saw a sign by the kitchen entrance that says Made with Love!
